The MEE has begun

Alright Goats - today marks the start of our new MEE course.

We’re tackling the Multistate Essay Exam, which means fewer multiple choice traps and more “write a real lawyer answer.” And while the goal is to cover as much as possible, let me be honest up front:

This course will almost certainly be incomplete by J25. There’s a mountain of material, and only one Goat writing everything. So instead of going in order, we’re starting with the most frequently tested topics first, and skipping around to hit the biggest point-winners early.

Also because of that, we've decided to make the MEE course FREE for everyone.

It will be automatically included in bundle purchases and enrollable for everyone else who wants to come along for the ride.

We didn't want to sell an incomplete course so this seems like the best option!

You can find it here!

Today we begin with: Secured Transactions: Article 9 Rule & Attachment

Pretty simple. General partnerships are dangerous for this reason.

Pretty simple. General partnerships are dangerous for this reason.

We cover:
What “attachment” means, and how it creates enforceable rights in collateral
- The classic rule breakdown (Violet Roses Smell Amazing)
- Why someone can’t give a security interest in violins they don’t own
- What makes a valid security agreement, and how to spot when it’s missing
- What happens when people try to disguise leases as loans
- And how after-acquired collateral and proceeds fit into the picture

I'll be putting these modules out as fast as I can. In the meantime, if you have any ideas or suggestions for how to make the MEE stuff more helpful, please reach out and let me know!
